DIESEL-HYDRAULIC DRIVE

A powerful diesel engine and a matched hydraulic system deliver reliable power transmission, even in demanding conditions. Rotor speeds reach up to 110 rpm.

NO MAINS POWER NEEDED
The Merak works independently of an external power supply, which makes it ideal for mobile and temporary sites.

PROTECTED DRIVE TRAIN
A wet-running, torque-controlled safety clutch protects the cutting unit and drive components and keeps downtime to a minimum.

INTERNAL PUSHER

An internal pusher feeds material steadily onto the rotor for consistent throughput.

CONSISTENT FEEDING
Steady feeding keeps the machine at its optimum operating point across different materials.

PLUG & GO SCREEN UNIT

The screen unit is quick to change, so the output size can be adapted to each job without long downtime.

DEFINED OUTPUT SIZE
The screen gives a homogeneous output size, with no need for a second shredding stage.

FAST CHANGEOVERS
Operators can switch between applications quickly on site.

TRACK DRIVE

The Merak 2800 DT sits on a tracked chassis, so it moves easily around a yard or between processing areas.

MATERIAL OUTPUT & FE METAL SEPARATOR

Shredded material leaves via the discharge conveyor. An optional Fe metal separator removes ferrous metal from the output.

CUTTING SYSTEMS

Three Cutting Systems, One Machine

Lindner’s modular system lets you match the cutting unit to the job, whether that’s primary, universal or secondary shredding. That keeps the Merak working at its optimum operating point across a wide range of materials.

Primary Shredding: 250 to 350 mm
Designed for volume reduction and high throughput, this unit prepares material for downstream processing.

Universal Shredding: 80 to 300 mm
This unit handles primary shredding and one-step processing of mixed material streams to a defined size. Closely arranged knife rows and adjustable speeds give high throughput. The knives and knife holders are bolted on, so they’re quick to replace.

Secondary Shredding: 30 to 120 mm
Built for small output sizes, this unit is ideal for secondary shredding of waste wood or producing medium-calorific SRF from C&I waste, including fuel for cement calciners.
